Astroboy - Military Cargo Ship

Astroboy (2009) - Imagi Animation Studios
This collection includes my environment designs for President Stone's Military Cargo Ship. President Stone needed a military vessel that would be seen carrying soldiers and the captive Astroboy.
For this set, I tried to use a clear military look for a drop ship while also pushing a bit of the visual language seen throughout the movie.
My responsibilities for this set were initial layouts, thumbnail concepts, final designs, color, and surfacing direction. I was also responsible with giving direction and feedback to the overseas animation team building the sets. I worked as an environment designer in the visual development department under Sam Michlap (Production Designer) and Jake Rowell (Art Director).
