"Bus Depot"
This collection includes my work for the medical areas in and outside the Bus Depot in The Last of Us Part I.
My responsibilities included texture creation, materials setup and blending, decals, environment modeling and set dressing. I also set up the initial art for the graphic design seen throughout the level.
The Last of Us Part I was the final game I worked on before leaving Naughty Dog near the end of 2021. I worked on the original 2013 release with Reuben Shah and we were reunited on this game. For this remake project, we had the chance to revisit our old level nearly 10 years later. We took on the challenge of updating on our work, while trying to maintain the original vision.
Later on during the project I also worked with Sarah Swenson who joined on as the environment modeler for the level after Reuben left the studio. I would leave shortly after completing beta on the level, and Katelyn Johnson would take on the shader artist duties.
